Bluegrass Beer & BBQ

Join us on Saturday, July 9th for BLUEGRASS, BREW, AND BBQ! We have a great lineup to give you some good bluegrass music. Our entertainment features Sean Loomis and Darren Engh of The Stringbuzzards and an opening set by Ol' 53.

For those who are hungry, we'll be selling BBQ plates for $15. We are roasting a pig on-site, or if you prefer BBQ chicken, and sides from Pit N Pub.

We’ll have plenty of beer, wine, soda, and water for sale and each ticket includes a coupon for a free drink!

Bluegrass, Brew and BBQ

Bluegrass, Brew and BBQ at Furnace Town!

On Saturday, August 17, 2019 music will fill the Pocomoke Forest, as Furnace Town Historic Site hosts a performance of the Blue Crab Crossing Bluegrass Band. This annual homespun music event will take place at the site of the Nassawango Iron Furnace, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with music beginning at 5:00. Food and beverages, including a variety of craft beers, will be available for purchase. The family friendly afternoon will offer entertainment and games for children and adults, amidst the Furnace’s 19thcentury Village backdrop.

Tickets are available pre-sale online, via Facebook and EventBrite, and will be on sale at the Furnace Town Visitor Center the day of the event.

Adult Admission - $15.00

Child Admission - $5.00

Furnace Town and Nature Conservancy Members must purchase their tickets at the Furnace Town Visitor Center to receive the membership rate.

Nassawango Bluegrass Festival

The Nassawango Bluegrass Festival is a place for pickers to come together and celebrate the music that we hold dear.

We hope you come and pick with us September 7-8,  2018. Enjoy live music, camping with friends, all day & all night jam sessions, delicious local craft beer, local artisans, and amazing BBQ! Overnight camping available Friday, September 7 or Saturday, September 8.

The Nassawango Bluegrass Festival is located at Furnace Town Living History Village. Furnace Town is located in the Pocomoke Forest on over ten acres brimming with history.

Rough tent camping will be permitted within Furnace Town in the designated camping area. This will be on a first come first serve basis. We will also offer a select few RV spots. We are a historic site; no open fires are permitted inside Furnace Town’s gates. We will have plenty of lighting for all-night jams.

Bluegrass Boot Camp

Bluegrass Boot camp will be held all day Saturday. This one day camp will give young pickers a chance to hone in on their skills. As well as give them a bluegrass mentor for the day. Hosted by Glenville State College.
